Have you missed me? I have been a busy bee in my studio prepping for the 7 days of Halloween release today October 1st. Halloween has always been my favorite time of year. Growing up in New York it meant the leaves were changing, apple cider was out, and it was time to go pumpkin picking with friends. It also marked the start of the fall craft fair season.
Well today on my first day I am showing you a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Vignette Box. I have not worked in this medium before. It was a little tricky getting all the bits and bobs into the box but when it was done I loved it. It feels like a peek into another little world and to see it you really have to get close and it pulls you in. As an artist, I am always looking for new inspiration. I can see many more vignette boxes in my future. I love building these little scenes that I know the story but I wonder what does it say to you?
For this one, I used the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Vignette Box, Scrapbook paper I splattered, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Halloween Ephemera, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Ancestor Paper Dolls, Idea-ology Amber Apothecary Bottles, Recollections from Michaels holographic cameo, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Halloween Word Chips (2018), Distress Oxides and elbow grease.
You can watch the process video on my Youtube Channel: 7 Days of Halloween Day 1 Idea-ology Vignette Box Til Death Do Us Part
This box can be purchased (while it lasts) on my etsy shop: Til Death Do Us Part Vignette Box

I hope this spooktacular little piece that measures only 4 3/4″ tall by 3 1/4″ wide by 1 1/4″ deep will inspire you to find new ways to use up some of that ephemera you have stocked up in your studio. Creating your own story and little world is always a treat.
