Welcome back for Day 5 of my 7 days of Halloween. We all love the idea-ology paper dolls we collect them and save them, especially the seasonal ones right. We use them on cards and tags and journal pages but we often have the little ones left over. I have found that the tiny ones make for great additions to ornaments. For today’s project, I purchased some chipboard frames from Michaels in their woodcraft section and set about making a set of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Ancestor Paper Doll Halloween frames. They do take a little time, being tiny and intricate but the end result is well worth it.
Some of the materials I used were the chipboard frames, Halloween scrapbook paper, Dyusions shimmer sprays, Dylusions paints, Idea-ology Halloween clipping stickers, the Idea-ology Ancestor Paper dolls, Distress Oxides, Embossing powders…I basically emptied my studio on these, phew you should have seen my desk after. The results I loved. These tiny frames at about 2 1/2″ x 3 /12″ are great for putting into nooks for Halloween, gift tags, party favors or if you have a Halloween tree they work as ornaments too.

Now it’s time to break out those paper dolls and get to crafting. You can do this for any theme, with the regular paper dolls you can do family themed ones for father’s day, mother’s day a siblings birthday. With the Christmas ones you can do holiday ornaments. I hope this project got those creative wheels turning. Happy Crafting.
