Well, October has left us and fall is here in full swing with smells of cinnamon, pumpkin, and thoughts of turkeys and stuffing. Now that the creepy and whimsical have been taken down my home is looking quite bare. I have a few fall items but usually, enjoy the break until it’s time to deck the halls for Christmas. Thanks to one of my youtube followers I started thinking about this in-between time. We always see a lot of Halloween decor and lots of Christmas but very little Thanksgiving. Therefore I decided to try and make a few Thanksgiving/fall themed bits during November.
My first share for the month is a shadow box. One of Tim Holtz’s vignette boxes. The idea blossomed from a bit of burlap fabric I found on clearance at the end of last season. I thought it would make a lovely fall backdrop for a shadow box. Now during Thanksgiving, we give thanks and for me, it’s all about family. That’s why I chose “Family” as my word to center around. With a few bits from the Idea-ology line, I whipped up this little centerpiece at 5″ H x 4″ W x 1 1/2″ deep.

As you can see the fall and Thanksgiving is a great time to gather our Idea-ology bits and keep that glimmer going in our homes through the holiday season.
